Homeless Ministry

We had a great crowd at the homeless ministry today.  There were many of decisions for Christ. One of the fun things we did was hand out million dollars bills.  They are really tracts from Living Waters.  Many of the guys were asking for them.  Everyone had a great smile.

Christmas 2008

I added a few pictures of Christmas.  We spent a few days in Birmingham.  Everyone had a great time.  The best part was having family in one place.

Thanksgiving and Birthdays

Bonnie and Jordan celebrated bithdays over Thanksgiving. Bonnie is now 24 years old and Jordan is 20. No more teenagers for me- thank goodness. Bonnie brought her best friend Nash for a visit. Nash is a 7 month old black lab. He has disrupted our house for a couple of days. Terri's mother and sister also celebrated with us. They are from Alabama. We all have alot to be thankful for in our lives. God is so good.

Busy Days

The bottom picture is of two of my friends who work in the food ministry Ed and Jimmy. I would not trade those two for the world. The top picture is a guy named Boo Boo. He is a rabid Auburn fan. God will forgive him. Roll Tide Roll!

Random Thoughts and Pictures

Two people named Joe and two people named Chris- all four are my friends. I know some of the best people God has created. Take time to talk with your friends because life is short. I cannot think of better thing to do in life. Also, take time to talk with your best friend Jesus.

Ministry Fun

It seems like every Thursday we are seeing more and more people come through our food and clothes ministry at FBC Madison. This past Thusday we had 50 families receive food and clothes. We always talk with each individual about their relationship with Jesus. Jessica and Amika prayed to receive Christ yesterday. The red house is where Odio lives on Jefferson Street. Odie practiced sharing his faith today for over an hour. He has a great heart and will be a great witness for Christ.

Busy Weekend

We had a very busy weekend. I baked my wife a birthday cake- the big 50. I was real nice and did not tease her much. These are just a couple of ministry pictures from the last few days. Bryan and Deloris went with us to the youth prison. Deloris has a great voice. We had 25 guys sign up for our Good News class at Woodland Hills Youth Development Center. I had to limit the class to ten boys. We just need more teachers because the boys are ready to learn.

Woodland Hills Youth Development Center

Rode with MamaLou and Clyde Hall to the youth prison today. Lou teaches a baptism class and I teach a class of boys that want to learn about what it means to be a Christian. I think Lou had six students and I had nine students. They really ask some hard questions today. They ask me where God came from. How do you explain that bit of information? It was a great afternoon with the boys.Add Image

Food Ministry At FBC Madison

Today was a very busy day at our food ministry. We continue to see more and more people each week. I told John Corley I was going to put his picture up tonight on the blog. He is the guy who looks like he is preaching. We have had to order a food truck from Second Harvest Food Bank it seems like every week. There are alot of people in real need in our community. We also tell each one who receives food about Jesus. Thanks volunteers for all the hard work. You are a special group of people.

Bible Study This Morning

I am meeting with a group of guys at Panera Bread in Mt. Juliet each week at 6:15 A.M. to study evangelism and discipleship. David Morel, who wrote "Secret to an Open Door" was our speaker today. This is an excellent book on evangelism I would tell others to read on this subject. This is a great bunch of guys who love Jesus and want to be more effective in sharing Him with others. I guess it is an iron shapens iron situation. The bagels are not bad either.

Food Ministry At First Baptist Madison

I have been sitting at this desk most of the day trying to get some food resources for our ministy at FBC Madison and the local Meals On Wheels program. The Pastor at FBC Madison, Barry Davis, has been wonderful to work with in our food ministry. All the members at the church have been so supportive of what God is doing through this ministry. I was able also to set up a new Bible Study in Hermitage. God is letting me meet some great people who are being very helpful in starting new ministries. Overall, it has been a great day! Tried to meet with one of the guys who is learning how to share his faith, but had to reset our time together until tomorrow.

We practiced for over an hour afer the Bible study. Attendance at the bible study usually runs 10 to 15 people. They love the fellowship and have a great desire to know and follow Jesus.

Our Ewing Street location

Really New At This

This is really new to me. I want to keep people informed about my mission ministry and the things I do each day and the people meet in Nashville. I will try to help people see what I see and the emotions I feel as I share Jesus with those in need. Check back and see where God takes me each day.
